Activity 1 - Project Management
The primary objective of this Activity is to support the effective management of the Project through provision of an appropriate management structure, reporting arrangements and project controls that meet the needs of the Project partners and INEA.
Activity 2 - Communication
The key activities that are carried out to communicate this Project will include the following:
1. Promoting the Project and results of the Project within the project and to external stakeholders ;
2. Promoting the Project and results of the Project to the INEA ;
3. Promoting the Project and results of the Project to Member States ;
Activity 3 - Stakeholder engagement and cross corridor coordination
This Activity concerns cooperation and the exchange of best practice with the European ITS Platform (EU EIP), the ITS Corridors, the C-Roads Platform and the CEF Multimodal corridors.
The key tasks to be undertaken include:
Activity 4 - ITS works
This activity involves the deployment of traditional ITS technologies, systems and services which will be installed over 29,000 km of the Arc Atlantique Network to enhance and harmonise Traffic Management and Traffic Information Services.
This activity is organised in three sub-activities:
Activity 5 - C-ITS Works
This Activity concerns the implementation of two C-ITS pilots that will cover the deployment of three Day-1 services, i.e Probe Vehicle Data, Road Works Warning and In-vehicle Signing over some 65km of the Arc Atlantique network.
This Activity is sub-divided in two sub-activities:
- Acquisition, integration and exploitation of floating car data in the Basque core and comprehensive network ;
Activity 6 - Evaluation
This Activity concerns evaluating the impact of the ITS works on the service level provided across the network, as well as impacts on road safety, traffic congestion and emissions. It will also explore the potential transferability of the ITS and C-ITS solutions to other areas in Europe.
